MGS performs different types of seismic acquisition in various conditions:
The equipment for seismic acquisition is produced by Sercel (France) and SI Technology (Russia)

Cables:
– Sercel-428XL: marine, transition zone and land |

Geophones:
– SM-24 HS: on land: 2-D & 3-D seismic exploration with bandwidth from 10 Hz up to 240 Hz |

Ocean Bottom Cables:
– The XZone Marsh Line 2C / 4C (SI Technology, Russia): transition zone at water depths 0-100m as well as within the adjoining land |

Floating Cables:Telemetry System Bottom Fish: water depths more than 20 m
– 2D profiling Floating Cables for transition zone: 3000-6000m in length, 240-480 channels. MGS has developed and implemented a unique technology allowing acquisition by floating cable up to 4500 m in the sea depths up to 3.5m |

Ocean Bottom Node:– water depths 0-500 m, coastal zone, and on land for seamless profiling. Works on the ice with remote hydrophones |

Ocean Bottom Station:– water depths up to 500 m |
For the transition zone a special air gun was developed which is a cluster of vertical emitters mounted in the continuation of the drill rod and provided at the bottom of the drill quill. Compressed air supply, washing liquid and emitters are controlled via a special channel in the drill rod.
The source can be plunged at a depth of 3-4m below the sea bottom (length of one drill rod) for optimal excitation of oscillations in the frequency range up to 120 -150 Hz. The source is mounted on the chassis of amphibious all-terrain vehicle for easy movement on the land surface or the bottom of the extremely shallow waters. This source and receiver system will allow tie of marine and terrestrial observing systems.
